From Pinterest to Perfecto

Pinterest and wedding blogs are great sources of inspiration for many brides-to-be.  We love using Pinterest as an interactive tool in our meetings with brides. It helps us as designers get "inside their heads" and actually see their vision.  It also allows us to post ideas that our bride can comment on and thus  narrow down key elements.

Beth's style was modern with clean lines. Her colors? Crisp black and white. Her venue? A beautiful NC farm.  She and her husband Ted have strong southern roots and wanted a local venue that would embrace that.  They were concerned that having an outdoor wedding at a farm would not mesh well with their modern design sense.  We thought it was a brilliant mix!  These contrasts were just the thing to make this wedding both chic and fun.

We created a Pinterest page as a visual storyboard for all our ideas.

We're not bragging, but we did it all.... the event planning, vintage rentals, styling, and yes, even the flowers...ok  - maybe we can brag a little.

Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall.....

 It's winter....the time of year when we're all craving longer days and a little less darkness.  Mirrors are a fabulous way to add not just drama and interest to your decor, but also some room-brightening, reflective light to the dark corners of any space.  Check out these additions to our mirror collection at Farm and Filigree.  They're not just for hanging on the wall - attach them to large tree trunks at your nest outdoor event or station them on an easel by the buffet as a writing surface for the evening's menu.  The possibilities are truly endless.

Since it is winter, we also wanted to share with you our perfect seating solutions for those outdoor fire pits.  Mix our vintage metal seating with our natural stump stools for the perfect combination as you're making the last s'mores of the season. The hickory stump stools  make great side tables, too, providing the perfect spot for your guests to place their drinks.  Interesting seating (and marshmallows and chocolate of course!) will help make the fire pit the hottest hang out spot at your party!
